Welcome to the Centauri Gallery administration system.
The purpose of this Web Site is to show case our data
base driven web technology.
In particular, it demonstrates the storage of pictorial information,
in
GIF or JPEG format in an on line data base, in this case SQL Server.
The advantage of this is of course that non technical people can build,
modify and maintain a catalog or a listing of sale items.
In this implementation, two versions of each graphic image are stored.
One is a small image for including on a page with many items displayed,
while the other image can be much larger and more detailed to
provide the customer a detailed view of a particular item
he is interested in.
